Different renewable energy projects have specific location requirements, depending on whether the project is wind, solar, hybrid, PtX, or biogas. We screen land areas to find locations where our energy parks have the least negative impact on local interests and valuable environments. This screening considers factors such as natural values, cultural heritage, waterways, birdlife, bats, aviation and military restrictions, and various other interests. For us, it is crucial to have a trusting and close relationship with the local community. Therefore, we always conduct impact assessments regarding landscape and noise. Another important element is the significance of good and close cooperation with local authorities to make renewable energy projects successful.

You can use your property and keep farming your lands in the same way as before. The road network required by the wind park also makes it easier to access the area year-round, as the roads are kept in good condition due to the maintenance of the wind turbines, which is carried out as needed throughout the year.

The lease agreements or rental contracts are valid as long as the project is planned, under development, in construction, and in operation. We typically estimate that an energy park has a lifespan of 25-40 years, depending on technology and site conditions. When a wind park or solar park ceases to operate, a new lease agreement for the area can be made. A wind park provides regular annual rental income in addition to the normal yield from your property, increasing the land’s value throughout the contract period. The development of wind turbines is progressing rapidly. Today, we build wind turbines that are around 250 meters high, but we are seeking permission to build turbines with a height of 300 meters. What distinguishes new turbines from old ones is primarily the rotor diameter, which has become significantly larger, but the tower height has not increased to the same extent. A modern wind turbine of 200 meters has a tower height of approximately 115 meters. Larger wind turbines are, of course, more visible due to their height, but they provide a calmer visual impression as they rotate slowly.
